Puke and Names

Threw up this morning. When will it end? At least it’s not daily anymore.

I’ve got a poll going on livejournal about what to name Pip if Pip is a girl-child.

So far Juliette is leading the pack with Valerie picking up some steam and Suzannah trailing distantly. Whatever we pick, the middle name will be Rose.

The finalist for a second boy is Julien Robert.

So if Juliette wins, Pip’s initials will still be JRB.

And if Valerie wins, Pip and Vic will both be V-names.

Hee 🙂

Baby Needs

So, while we don’t -need- much in the way of clothing, it would be -nice- to round out this baby’s wardrobe with some things I found useful last time and only have a few of:

All sizes:

– Button or snap-front cardigans
– Pull on elastic-waist leggings/pants
– Plain white sturdy cotton onesies – short and long-sleeved.

– Newborn/Baby socks with cuffs

I’m eyeing fondly these days ‘cos their colors -rock-. They have olive green and a nice rich yellow and so many other gorgeous shades you don’t usually see on the racks at baby stores!

– A nicely sized piddle pad to go in our bed/the co-sleeper to prevent leaks on the sheets.

Still Tired

The crazy sleepiness is still hitting in the afternoon. I fell asleep on BART today and almost missed my stop! I’m coming down with the virus Vic has had for the last 4 days. I’ve been taking extra zinc to try to stave off the worst of it. I don’t want to have another high fever while I’m pregnant.

The nausea is letting up, but the fatigue is continuing. I’m really ready to be done with the first trimester symptoms. I keep waking up with energy most days (not today ‘cos I was up with a sick Vic most of the night), and then after lunch it just … vanishes. A wave of extreme lethargy hits me and I can barely keep my eyes open through the afternoon.

When I was pregnant with Vic, I could nap when I got home from work. This time I have to stay awake and keep an eye on Vic. It’s … difficult.

My appetite is starting to return though – I ate a huge lunch on Friday and then brunch on Saturday. It’s nice to be able to enjoy food again, for the most part.

Though, again, not today. The lack of sleep has conspired to make my stomach touchy. Bah!

Cheaper Stroller

Hmmm. Now this stroller from One Step Ahead might just do the trick. Hmmmm.
