So It Begins

The nausea has finally stuck its head in. It started this morning with a vague creeping feeling in my stomach which I countered with a protein drink and nibbling on crackers before I left.

Now I’m at work, feeling vaguely de-hydrated and my stomach is uneasy again. I’m sipping slowly on water and pondering a trip down to the soda machine for ginger ale.

If it sustains itself at mild nausea, I will be a very happy camper. Memo to self though: bring plenty of water on plane tomorrow and pack protein-rich snacks.

I’m wracking my brain over what to bring.

Really for Real

Second home pregnancy test … as resoundingly positive as the first.

I guess that cinches it;)

We’re looking at an arrival sometime between late July and mid-August.

I spoke too soon. The cramping continues, though not as aggressively as yesterday or the day before.

The walk up the hill from the BART to work, kicked it off.

Just like a B-H, a tightening, subtle across the lower abdomen.

No spotting though.

So every day I just keep my fingers crossed that yes, it is just implantation.

Need to call my OB though to set up an appointment for just after the holidays for confirmation etc.

I’m still stuck between happy and uneasy, because of the bad timing going on here. We can’t afford two in daycare in California. But we also can’t really afford to live on one income either. Yet I’m the primary breadwinner and if I wanted to try to find a better-paying job I’m not exactly set up for it right now. It’s … a puzzle, that’s for sure.

Because we’re freaks this way … we’ve already got names on the table.

Natalie Rose is recycled from last round.
We’re also considering Rose Suzanne and Catriona Rose.

On the boy side, Jerome or Julian/Julien and Robert or Austin for a middle name.
