It came down during the night, white powder dusting the world with a blanket of chill. The kids woke up excited about it, looking out all of the windows and babbling about going outside to make snow balls. Until I opened the back door to take a picture. Then the cold hit them square in the face and they ran away.
We’re holed up in our rec room watching Kim Possible: A Stitch in Time and drinking warm beverages instead. It’s a little early for snow in this part of the world as far as I remember. Snow is usually a late December-all of January thing, drawing on memories of my youth. I wonder if this is a harbinger of a hard winter to come.
