Baking, mmm

One and a half pages into my ten page paper (single-spaced) and having a hard time focusing. I’m just burned out, my friends…the paper WILL be done by midnight next Sunday but ouch, it is going to hurt to make myself do it (and I’m a good paper writer, who generally thinks nothing of dashing off a ten-page-double-spaced paper, so that should say something)
Had fun baking, though. My Monday morning treat bringers flaked out this week, so I decided to try a recipe for Blueberry Coffee Cake that I’ve been meaning to whip up for some time now. Haven’t tasted it yet but the edges are all golden brown and the blueberries are peeking through the streusel layer on top, so I imagine it will be yummy tomorrow morning. Hurray for food! Hurray for baking!
Boo for papers!
My papers were fueled largely by chocolate covered coffee beans. Coffee cake seems a much wiser option.
(And hooray for being 1.5 pages in 7 whole days before deadline!)
I am so glad that I am done with all paper writing. I am a good paper writer, but never want to HAVE to do it again!
Blueberry coffee cake sounds scrumptious.
My brother is finally moving out after living on the couch in Mr. Twistie’s office/studio for the past five years. That means Mr. Twistie can get his office work out of my kitchen, and I CAN BAKE REGULARLY AGAIN!!!!
I think I shall start with a chocolate layer cake with raspberry ginger buttercream frosting.
