Taciturn Tuesdays – Woodland Park Zoo
Oct 13th, 2009 by heidi
I have mixed feelings about zoos. I’ll go into those sometime when I’m not attempting to be taciturn. This was our work summer picnic, to which we could have brought children, apparently, although I didn’t (didn’t know).
This peacock was wandering around the picnic area and was entirely unafraid of the camera.
Rescued bald eagles, cared for by zoo staff until they’re recovered and can be released or moved to another facility, one presumes.
Kookaburra! I wish the peacock had taken a lesson in posing from this feisty guy (gal?!).
Tiger, Tiger. The zoo is fundraising to build a new enclosure. This one is old and small, and the poor tigers were bored.
The new penguin exhibit. I want one!!
It was a hot day. I wanted to do what this red panda was doing.
AWWWWW! All so cute!
I love a good zoo! (only the good ones, though, that, ya know, LIKE their animals)
Glad you had a good time 🙂
