AAARRRGH!!!

And to everyone who thought I was just being silly in yesterday’s post. First item on the BBC news page this morning?
Dude.
Just…dude.
I guess, statistically speaking, that kinda sorta (but not really) makes it less likely that my planes will go down tomorrow or next Saturday?
And how horrible is that to even think?
Poor people. Poor families.
Resisting morbidly posting my flight numbers here, just in case. If I laugh at myself and treat this humorously as a ridiculous me sort of thing, maybe it won’t be scary. I KNOW I’m being stupid and silly.
American Airlines, Seattle to Syracuse via Chicago. That’s all I’m saying.
xanax? I’m a nervous flyer also and xanax is the only way I’m able to even THINK about getting on a plane. Good luck to you. xo
I always check the news for a plane crash before I get on one. It makes me feel like my chances are better.
It makes me feel SO guilty to do it…but I admit it does make me feel like I’ve got a better chance statistically (even if it’s not really true!).
I’ve never gotten THAT scared…just anxious.
I’d probably die of a heart attack if anything were ever to really go wrong on a plane, even if it made it down safely!
EEK! I don’t share your phobia, but I think I would have the same response anyhow…
I live in Seattle, so the local paper has a blog on the aerospace industry. Recently they had a post titled “About 72,000 Planes Did NOT Crash Today” – it’s at http://blog.seattlepi.com/aerospace/archives/172874.asp
*hugs*
