Had a shopping funfest at the Trafford Centre yesterday…well, shopping funfest insofar as keeping a pair of terribly-two-ish boys can be in a large shopping centre! Many trips up and down the escalators were made, particularly as Ciaran is obsessed with escalators and cannot see one without being passionately desirous of riding it.
Anyway, my friend M was on the hunt for picture frames and work shoes; my own shopping needs were to use the M&S vouchers, Superdrug vouchers and book tokens that I had in my purse!
Purchased from M&S:
- Parmesan grater – one of the “stick chunk in and roll” kind
- Cheese slicer
- Pineapple corer – yes, this is extraordinarily frivolous and possibly useless, but dude, what else was I supposed to spend the voucher on that’s a. not fragile and b. easy to pack/compact?
- Digital timer
Purchased with my fine book tokens, from Waterstone’s:
Aaand…something else I’m not remembering right now. Not bad, though, for £25 from a brick-and-mortar store.
Superdrug had to wait. Too many small things for small boys to pull off small shelves. Goodness only knows what I’ll actually get from there, considering that I don’t generally wear makeup, but heigh ho. Anyone have any thoughts on this?
We then had lunch at Pizza Express, which is a great fallback choice for anybody with kids. I had a Salade Nicoise, which was tasty, although I wouldn’t have minded a little more salad dressing! I have a weakness for Pizza Express salad dressing…
